Java Console V2.3
This is a complete re-write of my Java Console for MSIE! The install doesn't over-ride any MS classes, and the Console doesn't have to be loaded all the time. See below for installation instructions...
Note it only works properly with
Java 1.02 (SDK1 & SDK1.5)
There may be an update for Java 1.1 (SDK2) at some stage.
Download ZIP File.
Extract into 'Windows\Java\Classes'.
Go into View / Options / Navigation
and make 'JavaConsole.htm'
one of your Quick Links.
Make sure that Java logging is enabled in Advanced.
Click on Java Console.
Up Should pop the Java Console.
Above shows the Console with a deliberate exception that occurred before the Console was initialised. It now reads the 'javalog.txt' file to pick up on any past exceptions or output.
If you come across any internal errors, please save the console and forward it on to me. Please also have a play, and see if there is a pattern to the error. If the error only occurs on certain applets, please include one or more URLs. I am very grateful for peoples feedback.
If anyone wants to convert the Console for use with Netscape or any other browser, please contact me for the source code. The source will be released anyway when it comes out of beta.
