  • DUBADDISABABA - SOUNDCLASH (TAKSHAKA MEETS FRIENDLY FIRE DOWNTOWN MIX)
    Chris Madden's Soundclash outfit from Leeds featuring 'Goldfinger" of "Detrimental" on Tabla remixed Dubaddisababa at Lion Studio Leeds in May 96. Dubadisababa was on the album Echomania On-U CD24/LP64. Engineered and Edited by Phil Evans. Goldfinger appears courtesy of "Detrimental".

  • 2001 LOVE - IRATION STEPPAS
    The Leeds based Iration Steppers who consist of Mark Iration and Dennis Rootical reconstructed 2001 Love at there own High Rise studios. Originally released on the EchoMania album On U CD24/LP24 in 1993.

  • BEDWARD - ZION TRAIN
    Bedward was a real preacher in Jamaica in the 20's, the Prince Far I story of his demise is both witty and factual. Zion Train have taken the song and reconstructed it in there own distinctive style. Bedward was first released on the Staggering Heights On-U LP23, although the rhythm was first utilised on the Pounding System album with singer Don Campbell on Drums and was later one of the tracks which featured on Pay It All Back Volume 2 On-U LP 42 CD1/42

  • THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE - DUB SYNDICATE(Sherwood/Scott)
    Refusing to be left out of the musical equation Scotty and Adrian throw there own remixing talents into the hat and come up with a version of the Only Alternative with lead vocals by the Upsetter himself. Remixed in 1995 at On-U Sounds studios. The Only Alternative was recently released on the EFA/On-U Sound compilation "Roots of Innovation" 15 and X Years On-U CD92 released by the German Label EFA

  • CAN'T TAKE IT EASY - DAVE RUFFY/SEGGS RUTS DC (ENGINEERED BY GEORGE MOLT)
    Dave Ruffy and Seggs former rhythm section with the Ruts rework the old Gregory Isaacs classic with lead vocals by Little Axe front man Skip McDonald. Released on Classic Selection Volume 3 On-U CD 69 and on vinyl as the B side of 93 Struggle On U DP27 as part of the On-U Disco plate series.

  • JUNGLE - DISCIPLES
    The Disciples turn there own distinctive roots sound onto this version of Jungle featuring the unmistakable voice of Lee Perry. Jungle was released on the ever popular Time Boom De Devil Dead album, which was a collaboration between Scratch and the Dub Syndicate. Released in 1986,on EMI records and later rereleased by On-U Sound records On-U CD/LP43, was also on a vinyl 7" in the same year.

  • MAFIAD.J. SCRUFF
    Mafia was written and performed by Lloyd Parks and originally released on the Cactus label. Lloyd was a stalwart of the Jamaican music scene in the 70s. Mafia was then reworked by Dub Syndicate with Bim Sherman guesting on lead vocals. Manchester's DJ Scruff is at the controls for this excursion. Mafia was released by On-U Sound on the album Strike The Balance On-U LP47 in 1989, it was then released on CD in 1991, Dub Syndicate Classic Selection Volume 2 On-U CD6

  • 2003 STRUGGLE - DOUGIE WARDROP/CENTRY
    The Centry team picked 93 Struggle which again features the vocal talents of Skip McDonald. 93 struggle was a cover of the late Prince Far I's 83 Struggle released on the Chyrisalis reggae subsiduary Pre label. 93 Struggle was released on On-U Sound as a Disco Plate On-U DP27 in 1993.
  • JAMAICAN JIG - ABASHANTI
    Abashanti remixed this version of Jamaican Jig at On-U Sound studios in May 96. Jamaican Jigs rhythm was laid in Jamaica and then overdubbed in London. The track is featured on Dub Syndicates latest release Ital Breakfast On-U CD/LP84.

  • HEY HO - TRIBAL DRIFT
    Tribal Drift currently in On-U Sounds studios working on there new album choose the track Hey Ho to display there remixing skills. Hey Ho was written by Adrian Sherwood and Kishi Yamamoto (who was responsible for much of the early On-U Sound artwork) and was featured on Dub Syndicates Classic Selection Volume 1 On-U CD5 released in 1989.

  • RAVI SHANKER - ROOTSMAN
    Another player in the Yorkshire Dub Mafia, Bradfords Rootsman selects probably one of the most popular of Dub Syndicates catalouge to show what he can do. Ravi Shanker was given its first vinyl airing on Tunes from the Missing Channel On-U LP 38 released in 1985, before being released on CD, Dub Syndicate Classic Selection Volume 1 OnU CD5.
